Welcome to my lame translation blog. The name is because my translations are likely trash. I wouldn’t consider myself fluent or literate, I would only consider myself a long-time weeb who long ago started on and off, unstructured self-teaching specifically in order to play JRPGs that hadn’t been released in English. So, trashlations. Everything I post here is just a repost of a completed translation I posted on my actual translation blog, but maybe with a picture or two added in for good measure.
The only things I repost here are things I expect could be of interest to people other than me, so there’s a lot I don’t repost, and the posts here will likely be very infrequent. I won’t post incomplete things here, either. Also, depending on how much effort I’ve put into it here, the formatting and readability might be better on the Dreamwidth blog than here, since I hate WP’s current formatting system and don’t always want to fiddle with it for years to make it look nice. It’s also black text on tan instead of the white text on black here, so some people might find that preferable. Here we get pictures though! I put links to the original DW post at the top of every post here if pictures are not convincing you to stay here though.
I really only made this so the relevant translations I do are actually findable by people other than my personal friends or stalkers. So like, if you have any friends who may be interested in something I posted here, do share. I appreciate it very much.
Anyway here’s a form you can ask me stuff if you don’t wanna post it on comments. Like requests to use/translate my translations for whatever (the answer will almost always be yes if you’re not profiting off it — just give me credit by linking to either thetrashlationblog.wordpress.com or not-sophie.dreamwidth.org). You can try requesting I translate specific things too, but I’m not likely to agree unless it’s got some overlap with my interests and the chances also go down if it’s really long.
